Lady in Red

I hope you all like this image.  I wanted to take a simple image and produce something striking. This Ladybird gave me the perfect opportunity. I converted to B&W then used the history brush to paint the colour back in. I darkened the background to black and boosted the colour saturation and contrast to produce this final image. I am sure it's not everyones cup of tea but I like it and intend to print it A3 and put in in my bedroom.

I have used that technique only once and must try again. This is a perfect application with nice balance and perspective too!
