I can't believe it the UK has been hit by snow. Here in Yorkshire we have about 4 inches not much really compared to Scotland and my home county Northumberland.
However a little is better than nothing and it gave me the chance to take some HDR images which I converted in Photomatix 4 which I decided to treat myself to.
I didn't go far just to the canal which is very near my home, The lock and boats were very pretty so I took a selection and thought you might like to see them.
The light was fading fast but managed to get a few before it got too dark to work hand held, which I don't recommend when bracketing images for HDR unless you got a steady hand.
Well it's nice to be back in blog land, I have been tied up recently what with several family birthdays and Xmas fast approaching It has been almost impossible to get out with my trusty Nikon. Hopefully if this snow continues I may get some more winter images. Those interested in HDR I can definitely recommend Photomatix 4 just remember low ISO settings, use Aperture priority and keep the same f/stop for each bracketed image. Oh Yes and use a tripod if you have one. AHHHH its good to be back.
