It has been so long since I last posted, too long! Many things have happened some good some not so good but things are on an even keel now so that can only be a good thing.
Above is a photo of Selby. We left for a while but returned at Xmas after a spell in Doncaster. My wife calls it home and it's where she wanted to be.
Winter seems to be never ending the weather is rather strange I get the feeling that something is not quite right with the climate at the moment. Global warming????
So I have been looking through the archives and thought I would post a couple of pics that reminded me what warm weather was actually like.
The Brent Geese above were taken when I was working in North Devon, near a lovely place called Appledore, where I lived for a
while. Yes I get about where work is concerned.
I read today that the House Sparrow above left is now classed as under threat as it's population have dropped dramatically in the UK. Hard to believe really as they used to be one of the most popular birds in the country at one time.
The Butterfly is a small Tortoiseshell photographed near the canal at Burn in North Yorkshire.
Finally the Kestrel one of my favourite birds of prey, I love the way they hover when hunting their head perfectly still.
Ahhh I now feel warm all over, roll on Summer.
Hope you are all well will try not to leave it so long next time!
