It's been a while since I last posted, things have been pretty busy. Our office is almost complete we are laying water pipes tomorrow and then we will be able to have a toilet and sink. The building above is NOT the office Ha Ha.
I have been pleased to find a multitude of nature on site but have not had time to photograph them..... until today. A window of opportunity presented itself today, one whole hour with camera in hand.
So I thought I would share with you a couple of my photos.
There were many grasshoppers on site but although I could hear them they were so hard to spot, eventually I found one and a fine specimen he was too or is it a she I will find out from my son. It is handy having an entomologist in the family.
Smile for the camera.. A very accommodating Dragonfly
Hard work done now for a nap.
Until the next time from Life on a Landfill.

Terrific pics. Glad you had some time to enjoy your camera!
Glad to see the new post and can understand how work can take precedecne over blogging - darn that interference! Glad you had a break and were able to share these photos with us. I enjoyed lunch to go and the dragonfly.
Good to see you again.......nice HDR to open with.
Welcome back! Great images!
i think that dragon fly is laughing at the photographer. that first one is really really awesome. i love it. a beautiful pile of trash. glad it is not your new office. hope you get another hour here and there to snap.
Lovely series of the life at the landfill. I liked the lunch to go, although sad to see a ladybug all trussed up as they are such a help in the garden.
Your HDR is awesome.
The shot of the building is fabulous with the dark skies overhead... glad to know that is not your office! Nice to see you posting again.

Hi Dad,
The grasshopper is an adult male Stenobothrus lineatus, or "stripe-winged grasshopper".
