Place of work
Managed to fire a few pics off today at work and thought you might like a look. The above is of the main area that has to be filled then replanted. The panoramic shows the base and top of hole and we have to fill till level so it's going to take a long time. There are 3 holes in total but this is the largest.
It's a shame but these trees have to be removed and this will happen over the next few months so thought I would photograph then now while they were still around. They will be cut down and recycled into firewood and once hole is filled we will be replanting and landscaping the whole area. There will also be a sandstone wall built for the bee community and a pond for frogs and toads that will be sought after by grass snakes and the few Adders that we have on site. I will post more when I can sneak off and take them. Watch this space.

Shame about the trees, but if new ones are being planted it's not too bad I guess. Those pictures look amazing especially with that angry looking sky. Love the colours.
Have a great week xo
such beautiful scenes! the clouds are gorgeous backdrops!
Beauitiful photos! Looks like a big project.
Great clouds in the background. Can't wait to see all the before and after shots.
Good exposure blending......have a good time in your new job.
It looks a fine place as it is.
It is a shame those trees will be sacrificed. The scenes were beautiful with just the right contrast from the sky. Hope all continues to go well for you in your new job.
that looks like a really big job to do, filling all that. glad it gives you work in this economy.
the purple trumpet is in the Nightshade family and the flower/leaves/all parts including the juice when a piece is broken is deadly poison. the juice makes the skin break out.
I think that it is wonderful that this area will be replanted and improved from its current condition. Although these trees will be missed, future generations will enjoy the maturing of new ones. I look forward to seeing the progress here, Kev.
Best wishes on this new endeavor!

Very intriguing project ... will be interesting to watch the changes.
Nice work with the images. It's good to hear that the area will be returned to what it looked before.
