A walk down Memory Lane

I have always loved old photographs and enjoy restoring them. This one was given to me by a member of my family and I thought it would be nice to fix it up a bit and add some colour.

My first job was to crop in a bit tighter deal with fading and repair a few areas that were missing or marked. I then got rid of marks and scratches and areas that looked blotchy.

Finally I coloured it. I did a bit of research on the uniform but had to guess at hair and eye colour etc...

I hope you enjoyed the short walk back in time.

Add my kudos to those already posted. This was a wonderfully done restoration. It's good that the origina photo was not more badly damaged as I know how time-consuming this work can be.
