Trees in Mono

Here is a small study of trees at a local woods that I took at the weekend. I decided I wanted to make them a B+W set to concentrate on textures and tones instead of vibrant colour. I hope you find them interesting.
By the way I now have over 50 followers so would like to thank you all for visiting and supporting my photography blog. I look forward to reaching 100.

I love trees. Thanks for this great post to your readers. Your black and whites tell the whole story. Checking over your blog and you gave me an idea. Rabbits, and how much I love them too. Maybe we will soon see a lot of rabbits on blogs? I will be back to see what is new.

I love how B&W can show so much detail in photos and these are perfect examples of that.

Good choice. I've never thought about doing that with trees before, it seems to work well and changes the dynamics of the image in the first one.

B&W definitely makes you see the textures more. Good work!

Love the textures and the look of lace in your first photo. The river birch has distinctive contrasts by its very nature.

Great shots and I do like the b/w.
