Yes I've been out in the snow again, to be honest it is so wonderful out there that I haven't had so much fun for years. I intentionally went out to get some Christmas card images of Selby. The Abbey is the obvious subject but I did find some other interesting subjects hope you like them too.
I think it is only fair to say that I did not make the snowman he was just sitting there waiting for me.

These are really, really fun! I love the HDR effect on the snowy scenes. I am going to have to try that sometime soon. :o)
WOW, what a collection. They all are beautifully done. This could have been a whole weeks worth of eye candy!! And the snowman taking a break is priceless! I guess maybe there is something fun about snow and winter!!
These are just exceptional.
These are great, every one, and love that snowman! For me the real winner as far a for a Traditional Christmas card would have to be the last one.
Great set of images! Gotta love that Snowman.
Wonderful images!
Beautiful pics! You are making the most of the snow! (The apple tree on my blog was taken near the Brockwell Centre just outside the school)
What a beautiful city you have! Beautiful photographs! I am your newest follower and greatly looking forward to seeing more images!
Please join me at my history blog - I'd love to have you along!

fantastic, all of these. i can't even pick a favorite. the abbey says baby its cold out there to me. it is beautiful. i really like what i would call fat mans squeeze and wonder if i would fit down that alley. you did a great job finding so many different types of snow shots and i bet you had a blast getting them all. you have the eye of an artist for sure
First and last one are the winners for me. And that snowman is awfully cute. I guess I'll just have to find the time to play around with HDR ... when done right, as you did, I like the final images.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment on my site! I just visited Selby in Google Earth. Saw more pictures of the cathedral and the railway bridge and they were lovely but... you really should publish some of these there. It is extra special with the covering of snow! So glad to have found your site and I am looking forward to more!

Great HDR. It's really hard to do it, and I'm always amazed when i see it done right. And with the beautiful scenery you have a double winner.
These are fantastic! Each on it's own is wonderful to view and then amazing in a series.
Fantastic set of images! I like them all.
This is a great series. HDR seems to work well on snow scenes. Since I started on blogger, I have seen quite a bit of it but I am relatively new to processing techniques after only going digital last year. I didn't have a clue what was going on at first.
